M4 — The Machine
An unofficial concept we made on our own: a BMW M4 told as one continuous camera shot that moves only when you scroll, from the first look to the engine, the cabin and the headlights. Not commissioned by, affiliated with or endorsed by BMW.

A concept project of our own, designed and built by SIMA to show what we can make for brands in this industry. It is not client work.

Overview
A self-initiated showcase, not client work. BMW did not contact or commission us. The footage was generated with AI for this demo, and the site says so on every screen. BMW, M4 and the BMW logo belong to BMW AG.
The challenge
Car sites often cut between separate videos, so the car jumps and the story breaks. The goal: one camera that never cuts, the same speed from start to end, and a film that stops the moment you stop scrolling.
The concept
Eight chapters chained frame to frame into one shot: the car arrives, the camera circles it, passes through the body to the engine, opens the door to the cabin, waits in the dark for the headlights, and ends with a configurator and the final reveal.
Design
Black studio, graphite paint and the three M stripes as the only colour. Space Grotesk for English and Noto Kufi Arabic for Arabic, with the Arabic written fresh, not translated.

Key interactions
- 01
One shot, one speed
Every second of film costs the same scroll, and the film never plays on its own.
- 02
Points to explore
The camera pauses on the engine and the cabin so you can open each part.
- 03
Switch language, keep your place
Arabic and English swap on the same frame, without starting over.
